Remember Who You Are.

We can become so caught up in pleasing our self or living up to the expectations of those around us that it is easy to lose focus for the reason we were put on this earth. That reason is to bring glory to our heavenly Father and to fellowship with him.

Those of us who know Jesus Christ as our Savior and "Abba - Father," should remember that we are daughters of the King and realize that we represent Him in all that we do. We should "do all to the glory of God." Abba in Aramaic is an intimate word for father, typically used by a child when addressing their own parent. In English is might be interpreted as Papa. How wonderful it is that we can call God, the great "I am," Papa.

Romans 8:15, "For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, Abba, Father."

Galatians 4:6, "And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!"

Mark 14:36, "And He (Jesus) said, 'Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.'"

While the cares, distractions, and fears of life may at times divert us from our heavenly Father and our godly heritage in Him we should remember who we are, what we are here for, and that He loves you and me. His only Son gave His life for us.
