Question 14. Does God Choose Some For Heaven and Some For Hell?

I think the best way to answer this is to mention a few verses and then quote from a well known and respected preacher of a day gone by!
Romans 1:16
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation of everyone who believes."
Romans 10:13
"Whoever calls upon the name of the LORD shall be saved."
1 Timothy 2:4
"(God) ... desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth"
2 Peter 3:9
"The LORD . . . is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
1 Timothy 2:5
". . . there is one God and one Mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all men . . ."
Hebrews 2:9
"But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man."
C.H. Spurgeon said:
"Your damnation is your own election, not God's.
We are lost willfully and willingly, lost perversely and utterly, but still lost of our own accord, which is the worst kind of being lost.
From the Word of God I gather that damnation is all of man, from top to bottom . . . He that perishes chooses to perish . . .
We hold tenaciously that salvation is all of grace but we also believe with equal firmness that the ruin of man is entirely the result of his own sin.  It is the will of God that saves; it is the will of man that damns.
All true theology is summed in these two short sentences: Salvation is all of the grace of God.  Damnation is all of the will of man."
Taken from Spurgeon At His Best, C. H. Spurgeon, pages 48, 62, 122

Remember To Honour Our Fathers!

"Children, obey your parents in the Lord:
for this is right.  Honour thy father and mother;
which is the first commandment with promise.
That it may be well with thee,
and thou mayest live long
on the earth."

Ephesians 6:1-3

"A fool despiseth his father's instruction:
but he that regardeth reproof is prudent."
Proverbs 15:5

Hi sis lisa and sis starry:
i was truly blest in the camp. Pls help me pray for my desire to further seek God. I wanted to further study to be a better nurse and i am trying to fit everything to fulfill it, one thing is to prove to others that i can be the best nurse of my batch. But after the camp, my desire changed. I desire to further know Him. I just realized that the thickest nursing textbooks that i love to contemplate is not the best and greatest i need. I need the Bible more. I can be a nurse yet i wanted to devote my time in studying his Word by having a time in attending tuesday bible studies, discipleship programs and a full time Sunday for my God instead of focussing on my career.
That God may use me as He help me minister to my husband who is a baby christian and to our 5 wonderful boys.
My desire is to have more knowledge about my God than the secular knowledge i want to fill up my insecurities as a nurse.
I am not sure what His plans are for me but im sure that He wants me to please Him and do His will.
Pls include me in your prayers sis lisa. Thank you so much!
Praying for u and pastor mike too:)
Love,
Sis olive

Welcome To Delicate Power!

Welcome Ladies!

It seems the LORD has a plan for all of us to move forward through His word and this life together, at least for now!

To begin with, we are going to start the blog by answering the questions submitted at the GLCC Camp Ladies Sessions and are asking the LORD to use that to grow all of us deeper and closer to Him!

But that's just the beginning!   Soon we'll include pages on lots of subjects just for women who want to be like Jesus and lives lives of honour for Him!  There will also be a place to ask more questions and we hope you'll make lot's of comments along the way.

Eventually there will be a page for you to tell your stories of God's grace, mercy and empowerment to encourage others along the way!

It's an exciting journey-- the life we spend for JESUS --and it's exciting to know that we don't have to do it alone!  So ... you pray for us as we pray for you and ... here we go!

Stay with us and give us a few of days to get up and going!

Remembering It's All About JESUS,
Starry and Lisa
